Exploring Computer Science and the Summer of CS – Free Professional Development for High School Teachers
The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) and the CSforSAC Network are pleased to announce the 2018 Exploring Computer Science (ECS) Summer Institute, which is one of the programs offered during the Summer of CS.  This free, week-long professional development experience will be held at the SCOE Conference Center from Monday, June 25 through Friday, June 29.  Currently, this is the only ECS professional development offering in California, so high school teachers from across the state are encouraged to apply.
The 2018 ECS Summer Institute is the first portion of a comprehensive professional development program that provides support and additional professional learning opportunities throughout the school year.  Teachers that are committed to teach the introductory CS course in the 2018-2019 school year will be invited to participate in four one-day workshops during the school year and reconvene for the 2019 ECS Summer Institute.
Because space is limited, interested teachers should apply by January 31, 2018 to participate in the 2018-2019 Exploring Computer Science Professional Development program at!
